Saturday’s benefit, NDAD’s role tonight on ‘WDAZ News @ 5′Posted on January 1, 2012
Learn more about Saturday’s benefit in Grand Forks for liver transplant recipient Kevin Grinde and about a service by North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD) that offers assistance to community fundraising efforts. Watch WDAZ’s “News @ 5″ with anchor Terry Dullum tonight at 5 p.m. on Channel 8 in Grand Forks and Devils Lake.
Scheduled guests are Leslie Stastny of NDAD’s client services, and Brad Dokken, Grand Forks Herald outdoors editor and Kevin’s longtime friend and colleague.
The benefit is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus, 601 University Avenue in Grand Forks, and features a free-will offering spaghetti dinner and silent auction. It also happens to be Kevin’s birthday. NDAD and Thrivent Fianncial for Lutherans are sponsoring partners in the benefit.
Kevin is a longtime journalist and outdoorsman, perhaps best for his years as outdoors editor and columnist for the Herald. More recently, Kevin had been managing editor of the Herald.
Kevin’s liver transplant occurred in early November at the Mayo Clinic complex in Rochester, Minn. Learn more about Kevin and the benefit.
