Talk about variety.

Saturday’s benefit for Kevin Grinde, the longtime Grand Forks-area journalist and outdoorsman who is recovering from a liver transplant, features a mix of silent auction items — all generously provided by individuals, organizations and businesses from Greater Grand Forks and the region.

The fundraiser – featuring a free-will-offering spaghetti dinner in addition to the silent auction – runs from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday near downtown Grand Forks, at the Knights of Columbus, 601 University Ave.

Silent auction proceeds and free-will donations will be used to cover ongoing medical and general living expenses, with the North Dakota Association for the Disabled serving as fund caretaker. NDAD and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, which will provide some matching funds, are benefit partners.

Can’t make the benefit but would like to help? Tax-deductible donations can be mailed to NDAD/Kevin Grinde, 2660 Columbia Road, Grand Forks ND 58201. For more information, please call Jeri at (701) 775-5577.
